John Brehm is the author of four books of poetry: Sea of Faith, Help Is on the Way, No Day at the Beach, and most recently Dharma Talk. He’s also the author of a book of essays, The Dharma of Poetry and the editor of the bestselling anthology, The Poetry of Impermanence, Mindfulness, and Joy, both from Wisdom Publications. Mimi German was recently named Oregon's first Beat Poet Laureate. She has written two volumes of poetry, Beneath the Gravel Weight of Stars published by The Poetry Box, and her current book, Where Grasses Bend, published by EyePublishEwe. She resides in Portland and in the wilderness of Steens Mountain. Mimi is currently working on a new collection titled War Poems.
Larry Beckett’s poetry ranges from songs, Song to the Siren, to blank sonnets, Songs and Sonnets, to the epic American Cycle, including Paul Bunyan, Wyatt Earp, Amelia Earhart, and seven other book-length poems. Beat Poetry is a study of the poets and poetry of the fifties San Francisco renaissance. He's reading here from The Book of Merlin. And will be reading live 1/16 at Annie Bloom's Books.
