Talking Earth: Trans Writers Showcase

Dylan Dills (<a class="profileLink" data-hovercard="/ajax/hovercard/user.php?id=100007274558839&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A1437407449917724%7D" href="https://www.facebook.com/dilly.bar.562" style="color: rgb(59, 89, 152); cursor: pointer; text-decoration: none; ">Dilly Bar</a>) is a feminasty, transmasculine (dis)abled fat queer hailing from the NW. Their particular aim in their writing is to mix philosophy, social justice, and personal experience.&nbsp;They are currently working on a zine of all their writings and drawings of the last several years, hoping for it to come out in 2016. When Dylan isn&#39;t creatively engaged, you can find them snuggling their cat and amazing partner, watching netflix, or destroying the patriarchy.&nbsp;They also enjoy glorifying obesity by eating delicious food and having consistent conversations that challenge them and encourage them to grow.

Emily Pittman Newberry is a speaker, writer and performance poet.
<p style="margin-top: 6px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-left: 0px; ">After living a life in hiding she finally came out as the transgendered woman she lives as today. Her writing explores the challenges of living as spiritual beings in a human world, of the paradox of life.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 6px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-left: 0px; display: block; ">Emily wrote songs during the mass movements of the 1960&rsquo;s and did street theater. Today she dances on the stage of life in her Portland, Oregon home. One Spirit Press has published two books of her poetr<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; ">y; Butterfly A Rose, in 2010 and the chapbook Nature Speaking, Naturally with artist Adelaide Beeman White, in 2012. Her poems have been published in a variety of journals and in 2014 she was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. &nbsp;Amanda Jane Spencer is made of rainbows and unicorns. Her words hit like a hammer to an anvil, cutting right to the heartmeat of anyone they touch. Amie Annsa has had many titles over the years to describe her: mother, wife, friend, geographer, transgender woman, human. But she never considered herself someone creative, which is why poet is such an interesting title for her. Her poetry is based off of experiences in her transparent life. She shares that life with her wife, two step children, and baby on the way.
