Talking Earth with Leah Rainer and Brenda Taulbee, hosted by Camille Perry
Camille Perry hosts her October broadcast featuring the newest books of up-and-comers Leah Rainer and Brenda Taulbee.
LEAH RAINER is a poet and explorer of heart and mind. Her writing reflects moments of love, pain, self exploration, and curiosity. She is an East coast native who has been living in Portland for 3 years studying Chinese Medicine. Poetry has long been her creative escape, and she began reading in 2012 with the reading series now known as Word Warriors. This is her second appearance with KBOO on Talking Earth Radio and she is excited to talk about her recently released first chapbook, Literary Voyeurism.
BRENDA TAULBEE is the author of two poetry collections, “Dances with Bears ...And Other Ways to Lose a Limb” and “The Art of Waking Up” (GobQ/Reprobate). She has been nominated for the Best of the Net Anthology as well as a 2014 Pushcart Prize. Her work has appeared online in The Inflectionist Review, locally in two editions of The Poetry Box, and internationally in Gobshite Quarterly.
Brenda deeply reveres the healing power of words. She is fascinated by poetry’s ability to embody the invisible and complicated world of the interior life. She believes everybody has a story to tell, and a unique voice waiting to be discovered and developed."
