Olives in Oregon!
Where to order or get seeds, growing olives in the region, and tips on how to prune a dormant fruit tree if you're a new gardener.

Tis the season of seed starting (well, at least, ordering) and pruning. Host Glen Andresen and guest Jim Gilbert have compiled a list of local and national seed suppliers worthy of your attention (and they are listed below). And we have tips on how to make the first (and subseqent) cuts on a dormant fruit tree. We also discuss watering wands (and to a lesser extent, hoses). We'd like to hear from you if you have a favorite type of watering wand or hose.

As always, we'll have a new Plant of the Month (olives). And a reminder, the Garden Stumper is back! The winner gets a free sharpening of a hand tool from Cully Farm Store in Northeast Portland! Plus, our Dirtbag Dictionary term  is auxin.  And, of course, what's annoying Glen this month.

Don't forget, if you have a gardening question, or the answer to the Garden Stumper, you can email us at thedirtbag@kboo.org -- we'll answer your question on the air during the next show!
