In partnership with Oregon Humanities, KBOO and CIO have created a podcast on criminalization

The Center for Intercultural Organizing and KBOO Community Radio, with support from Oregon Humanities, has created a podcast that focuses on addressing the questions of how our communities define “crime” and “criminals”, the effects of labeling communities as “criminal”, and how criminalization effects our humanity and relationships. Recordings of interviews, discussions and dialogues will be conducted by the project organization, within the communities experiencing criminalization.

Recently, Adrian Martinez joined us for the KBOO Evening News to speak about their End Profiling Campaign.

This Saturday, April 30th, from 2-4pm, the Center for Intercultural Organizing will host a public listening party at their Beaverton location, 12625 SW Broadway, Suite 200. Join us to be part of a conversation on the criminalization of immigrants and refugees, as well as to learn about the effort to end profiling and know your reporting rights when you are the subject of profiling.
