Have you been wondering about volunteering at KBOO? Do you want to be a part of a lively, engaged and committed community, effecting positive change in the world around us? Please, check us out! We will hold a volunteer orientation on January 7th, for incoming volunteers; this is the first step in a three part process to be an active part of this dynamic community.
If you are already an active volunteer, and are looking for more ways to get involved, you can always check out the information on the volunteer opportunities page.
I am currently looking for volunteers who want to be a part of our annual remote broadcast of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, which will take place on January 21st, and/or who want to help create special related programming throughout that week.
And while on the subject of special programming, we are preparing for our annual celebration of International Women's Day. Each year, KBOO clears the schedule to bring forth great programs made by women. We will begin meeting at the station shortly after the New Year, so contact me, or check back here for more details on getting involved.
I am also recruiting for front desk volunteers. If you have daytime availability once per week, and are interested in a receptionist shift, please contact me right away! We currently have four openings for receptionists, and also need occasional substitutes. This is a great role for a volunteer who is very "people oriented", and wants to be in the midst of the action.
As always, if you have any questions about volunteering at KBOO, or would like to attend the next volunteer orientation, please contact me by phone at 503-231-8032 ext. 213 or emailing me at volunteer@kboo.org.
Very best wishes to everyone in the KBOO Community for a brightly shining New Year!
