The Cascade African Film Festival and the Portland International Film Festival overlap this month, and we also consider three new movies, The Mauritanian, Let Him Go, and I Care a Lot, while Jeff Godsil ponders On Dangerous Ground and Robert Ryan, Britta Gordon on Victor Erice's El Sol Del Membrillo, and  finally a new book on Mario Bava's masterpiece from 1964, 6 donna per L'assassino.
