KBOO kicks off International Women's Day in grand style as Folk Espresso features 90 glorious minutes of music by women. We'll hear the female voice in all of its pure clarity in several a capella pieces as well as songs showcasing lovely harmonies by sister duos and trios. Helping us dig out of the rottenness that marked the last four years of "governance" in this country, strong women will sing songs that lift up all humans, that demand change, and that honor Oregon Governor Kate Brown. The morning will start with an extraordinary piece of music from the 12th century (!), but then we'll move it up 900 years to the present. It will be a life-affirming show...
