I heard this song the other day that stuck with me afterwards. I thought the lyrics were powerful and evocative and I kept trying to decipher the meaning behind them. I found an interpretation by an astrologer named Noel Tyl that summarizes the song more articulately than I ever could.

“Always Keep a Diamond in Your Mind” suggests we remember our own worth and value; especially in the face of adversity. Steel our minds against the onslaught no matter how dire the circumstance and treasure this thing called life, the rarest, most precious gift of all. And although life is perhaps the “hardest thing on earth” it can also be the most worthwhile. Those worthwhile moments we get are the diamonds. The people we share those moments with and who mean the world to us bring clarity of purpose. Remember the flawless soulful moments; keep them and the people who shared them with you close.
