One show, two interviews!
Founded in 2008, Try Vegan PDX is a volunteer run 501c(3) based in Portland, Oregon. Our vision is to build and support an inclusive vegan community while advocating for compassion and non-violence towards all beings. Try Vegan PDX offers education, resources, events, support, and activism opportunities. Our Vegan Guide to Portland is a resource featuring local businesses and nonprofits. Some of our most popular community building events have been Vegan Prom, VegQuest (a vegan scavenger hunt), and our annual Vegan Maker and Craft Fair. We champion for the animals, those interested in a compassionate lifestyle, and the larger vegan community. A vegan world will provide a thriving future for people, animals, and the planet.

Initiative Petition 3 (IP3), formally titled the Abuse, Neglect, and Assault Exemption Modification and Improvement Act, is a proposed ballot initiative filed with the state of Oregon for the November 2024 general election. If enacted, IP3 would remove many of the exemptions from Oregon’s laws against animal abuse, animal neglect, and animal sexual assault. Due to these exemptions, animals on farms, in laboratories, in exhibitions, and in the wild are not currently protected under these laws.
