So many issues right now seem impossible to address. But what about the people who have good ideas about things? How does one person with an idea build a community around that idea? And how do they build it bigger into an organization or movement?
This is part 2 of our interview with Jordan Fink of Build Soil, where they're working to plant a new generation of chestnut trees in the Portland area and around the world, as a crucial piece of societal infrastructure against climate disaster in the (near) future. But to achieve that, they've worked on building a grassroots organization. What kinds of effective strategies make that possible?
(We will also get sidetracked on sustainable water technology and historic approaches to water systems that could – and in some cases do – work today.)
