This week, the full episode of Film at 11 is dedicated to a survey of the suite of westerns directed by Budd Boetticher with Randolph Scott, released in the mid-'50s, and often written by Burt Kennedy. The opportunity to do so arises from the recent release of a set of five of the films by the Criterion Collection. We are joined by Matthew of KBOO's Gremlin Time to go over the intricacies of these films and how these low budget works managed to capture the essence of the American western and a particular view of action.
