Maria Brignola is a board certified dance movement therapist. For over 30 years Maria has been a pioneer, educator and leader in mind-body psychotherapy, body mindfulness, and dance/movement therapy in the Pacific Northwest. For over fifteen years, she was a contributing writer for the internationaljJournal, The Arts in Psychotherapy, with her work cited in numerous magazines and newspapers. For over 25 years, Maria served as a faculty member at Marylhurst University, where she taught unique graduate level coursework integrating body, mind and spirit.
Maria was the first Program Director for Senior Psychiatric Services at Providence Milwaukie Hospital—an in-patient unit which she helped to open in 2016. She is nationally known as a dynamic workshop facilitator, writer, educator, and consultant who conducts workshops and provides a host of dynamic, experiential, and engaging learning activities to promote personal and professional development.
