"Blonde on a Bum Trip" is vibrant backstage comedy, the play delves into the lives of pioneering trans actresses Candy Darling, Holly Woodlawn, and Jackie Curtis as they claw their way from off-off-Broadway theatre to the underground film stardom of Andy Warhol's Factory scene. This is the fifth recent production by Mikki Gillette named one of the 25 most influential Portland artists, the performance features work written and mostly performed by transgender and non-binary actors including Ruby Welch, Juliet Mylan, and Riley Moore as Candy Darling, Holly Woodlawn, and Jackie Curtis.
