Please join us for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, December 3rd as we talk with Jeff and India, organizers of the Happy Holigays music festival, a fundraiser for the Rainbow Railroad. Happy Holidays is a queer holiday music festival celebrating the local queer music community with a lineup of 15 musicians and artists, with music ranging from chiptune to hardcore, from punk to funk! Vendors, music, holiday drinks, and more! The fest is taking place Dec 12 - Dec 13 at Misfits Bar + Lounge. Happy Holigays will be raising money for Rainbow Railroad - an organization that helps lgbtq+ people escape state-sponsored violence. The organization aims to combat forced displacement and help individual seeks safety from relentless persecution by supporting queer refugees everywhere. The North American Non-Profit has helped more than 13,000 LGBTQ+ since its founding in 2006.
Transpositive is a biweekly program in Portland exploring themes important to those who identify as Transgender, Gender Non-Binary, and Gender Non-Conforming. Transpositive tries to connect listeners with the ongoing activist, arts, culture, and dialogue happening in Portland and beyond. Make your voice heard! Transpositive PDX is open to new and experienced programmers, guests, and events you want our community to know about. We are an open collective. Anyone who identifies as trans, gender non-binary, gender fluid is welcome to be part of our collective after completing some basic free radio training.
