Twenty years ago Portland was internationally known as the model of a green city. But for past several years, Portland's green veneer has been chipping away, in large part because of who populated the city commission. But that is all about to change as a new form of city government and twelve new city councilors take over on January 2. Seven out of those twelve are progressives with strong environmental concerns. So we'll see what happens.

On this episode of Locus Focus we talk with one the four socialist candidates who won seats on council - Mitch Green, who represents District 4 - and envision what a Green Portland will really look like.
