The Harder they fall...
Yesterday General Mamduh Shahin, one of Egypt's most powerful leaders said the military will expand a state of emergency because of a "breach in public security" after protesters stormed Israel's embassy and clashed with police, The ruling military council issued a decree to widen the scope of the emergency law -- restricted in 2010 by ousted president Hosni Mubarak to narcotics and terrorism cases -- to target labour strikes and the "spread of false rumours."
In Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, Taliban fighters have launched co-ordinated attacks targeting NATO's headquarters, the US embassy, and the Afghan intelligence agency.
So much for those plucky “rebels” US – excuse me I mean NATO – forces have been defending in Libya. Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, The chief of Libya's revolutionary movement has urged a cheering crowd in Tripoli to strive for a civil, democratic state based on Islamic law. Wait…a democratic what?
Abdul-Jalil heads the National Transitional Council, but not that long ago he served as Gaddafi's justice minister before joining the rebels at the uprising's start.
