A field interview with Cameron Whitten
Housing Rights activist and Former Mayoral Candidate Cameron Whitten announced the end to his hunger strike today, after fifty-five days of abstaining from solid foods. The strike will officially end tomorrow morning at ten o’clock, when he will hold a press conference in front of city hall. Cameron Whitten began camping out in front of the government building on June 2nd to call attention to housing justice, and the embattled Right 2 Dream Too camp. According to Whitten, he has lost over 30 pounds since beginning of the hunger strike.
KBOO’s Zeke Harrington spoke with Cameron Whitten to learn why he was ending the strike.
