Music from the Comoros Islands
On this week's show, we explore music from Comoros, the Indian Ocean archipelago lying between the northern tip of Madagascar and mainland Mozambique. The Swahili culture of Zanizibar and coastal Tanzania and Kenya provides much musical influence on the islands, along with Arabic and Malagasy music.
