The Return of The Son of MOTHERS NIGHT!
KBOO's annual celebration of the original Dadaists of rock - FRANK ZAPPA AND THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION. Even though they were highly influential in opening up creative (and scatalogical) doors in modern commercial music and the recording industry (John Lennon and Paul McCartney cite FREAK-OUT, the Mothers' debut album as the main influence to structuring Sgt Pepper), they were largely ignored (avoided? "...ew!!") by the record-buying public. Many of us american teenagers who were, let's say a bit more curious bought our copies of Freak-Out and Absolutely Free! in pawn shops for 25 cents. Zappa went on to leave his mark and influence in many other ways over the next 30 years--and posthumously, still is-- but tonight (and every Mother's Day weekend forever), we salute, explore and abhor the original works that brought The Mothers to everyone's attention.

Join well-known respected and unrespected "Zappa-tistas" BEEL DODGE, JIM LARRANCE, PHILIP BARASCH, SUZY CREAMCHEESE and other freaks as they once again attempt to fob off this so-called "art" on an unsuspecting public. Your ears will never be the same.
