Our annual rebroadcast of this 1989 documentary

Each June we rebroadcast the 1989 radio documentary "Remembering Stonewall," by David Isay. This documentary, broadcast on the 20th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, is the first documentary -- in any medium -- about the riots. Hearing the voices of participants, from Deputy Inspector Seymour Pine, who marshaled the raid, to Sylvia Rivera, one of the drag queens who battled most fiercely that night, is particularly important this year with the historic dedication of the Stonewall National Monument.
