Bill Resnick interviews Hilary Wainwright

Bill Resnick talks with  Hilary Wainwright, currently editor of the UK left magazine Red Pepper, about responses to Corbyn, the Labour Party, left politics in the UK today. They discuss the recent mutiny of the 99%, Corbyn in England, Sanders and Trump in the U.S, and the great opportunity for the left.

Hillary Wainwright is a writer, socialist feminist, and activist/organizer in London, England. She was major player in the Greater London Council that the Thatcher Government abolished when the Council’s many egalitarian and democratic programs grew too threatening. Out of that experience Wainwright wrote several books: A Taste of Power: The Politics of Local Economics, Public service reform - But not as we know it!,  Reclaim the State: Experiments in Popular Democracy. She has carried those politics into her work with Red Pepper.
