No child behind bars
Exploring political, social and cultural issues affecting Palestine/Israel.

Today on One Land Many Voices, we feature a talk that was given this past Monday January 23rd, 2017, in Portland Oregon.

The talk was part of a speaking tour called ‘No Child Behind Bars: Living Resistance from the US to Palestine.’

The featured speakers are Nadia Tannous and Amanda Weatherspoon. The tour was also supposed to include Ahed Tamimi, a 16-year old Palestinian activist from Nabi Saleh, who has been involved in the weekly non-violent protests in her village since she was a child. The U.S. Consulate in Israel failed to issue Ahed a visa to travel, so she was unable to travel to the U.S. for the speaking tour.
