The Portland Student Action Network, a group of activists from the greater Portland area's high schools, is holding a rally this Thursday in honor of Quanice Hayes, a 17-year-old who recently died at the hands of the Portland Police. The rally will bring high school students and members of the community together to place a memorial for Quanice Hayes. Organizer and friend of Quanice Hayes, Shamiyah Ibe-Velasquez, talks to us about holding the police accountable, the Quanice Hayes she knew, and why it's important for high school students such as herself to come together and take action.
