Thousands of people will gather this weekend at the gates of Fort Benning, in Georgia for a yearly protest against the School of the Americas, now known as WHINSEC.
The military school is a well known combat training center for Latin American soldiers.
Over its 59 years, the center has trained over 60,000 Latin American soldiers in counterinsurgency techniques, sniper training, commando and psychological warfare, military intelligence and interrogation tactics.
Today, KBOO reporter Owen Bastable spoke by phone with Hendrick Voss, an organizer of this year's protest.
