Friday, May 3 is being recognized as Asian and Pacific-Islander American Day on KBOO so Positively Revolting will be featuring a conversation between two Japanese Americans of different generations. Chisao is a local artist, activist, and community advocate who fought for the visibility of the Asian American struggle during the Asian American movement and continues to do so. She is a third generation (aka sansei) Japanese American and will be in conversation with guest host, Jenna Yokoyama, a fourth generation (aka yonsei) Japanese American. They will talk about their experiences as Asian Americans, generational differences within their community, and the history of Asian and Pacific-Islander Heritage month.
