We'll be talking with Patrick Califia, a long-time educator and writer on sex, play, gender, transitioning, and social constructs surrounding each of these. I've been reading Califia since college in the mid-1990s, when his book Public Sex: The Culture of Radical Sex blazed through my radfem peer group. Freedom of sexual expression, and issues of consent and communication, are at the center of Patrick's work. I've looked forward to the opportunity to meet Patrick for many years, and now that he's living in the area, I'm ecstatic to be able to talk with him on the air.
