Today’s show is all about food system workers finding solutions to make their lives and jobs better. We’ll talk with Joshua Cole of Family Meal PDX and their work to raise funds for restaurant & ag workers during medical debt crisis. James Cox of the Restaurant Opportunities Center of The Bay will talk about their work supporting restaurant workers in finding childcare. Don McIntosh of Northwest Labor Press will share some highlights of food system unionizing efforts in 2019 and a union representative of the new Grand Central Bakery Union will talk about organizing bakers in Portland.
