Portland media artist Rose Bond is celebrated around the world for her animation installations — large-scale projections that intensify architecture, interpret history, and magnify music.
Following up her acclaimed 2016 collaboration with the Oregon Symphony, accompanying Olivier Messiaen's Turangalila, Rose will once again bring the walls of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to colorful life, this time animating to Luciano Berio's Sinfonia.
Rose will be joined by Oregon Symphony music director Carlos Kalmar and vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth to interpret Berio’s revolutionary music from the 1960's, with its moving tribute to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
