Conservationists and scientists are now raising the alarm that as many as half a million sharks—many of them endangered—may be slaughtered in order to create a vaccine for COVID-19. However, there are alternatives. Voices for the Animals host and KBOO Reporter Michele Coppola spoke with Stefanie Brendl of Shark Allies, a conservation group in Los Angeles.
