Chetco River Mining and Exploration strikes gold in 'them thar rills'. BP fails again and Israel ..

BP’s latest effort to stem the river of oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico has failed.  American’s faith in the techo-fix is rapidly fading.  Now, 44 days in, the saw being used to carve through mangled piping in an effort to cap the well became stuck today midway through its mission.   So the Fixers  are discussing whether to lower another saw into the water or to try to nudge the mangled marine riser pipe to free up the saw.   In the meantime,  chemical dispersants are being dumped by the ton in an effort to conceal the seriousness of the disaster.   Getting this thing under control could take years.  Meanwhile the Gulf of Mexico is dying a hideous, painful death.  Why hasn’t BP completely caved in?  Simple:  the average uninvested citizen is genuinely alarmed…But from the average oil speculator’s point of view, this is nothing but net.  Because when the Gulf is a dead zone, these people are wagering, then why bother with environmental protections?  And with the Gulf a Dead Zone, the fishing and tourism industries long gone, the only jobs will be oil industry jobs.  In less than a decade we might envision the entire Gulf simply declared a vast marine industrial zone, too toxic for any but mechanical life forms…
