The G20 fiasco continues in Toronto. On Wednesday night, prominent Indigenous rights activist, Jaroslava Avila was arrested at Queen's Park Station by nearly a dozen police officers. This morning at 11 am East Coast time, Avila was arraigned. We really are ‘All One World’ when it comes to getting arrested. In Chicago, Minneapolis, South Carolina, all over the country, these past ten days or so, the Feds have been knocking on the doors of anti-war activists - at times knocking with their boots and not in “that” way, if you know what I mean and I think you do…federal agents apparently have been sharing the love with Toronto’s G-20 solidarity community. Here’s the message: don’t be surprised if they want to share it with you.
It is always the Labor at the bottom of the pay scale that produces the wealth at the top. With contract talks stalled, TriMet General Manager Neil McFarlane told union workers that they need to pick up “a share” of their rising health care costs. Trimet – as it should – has in the passt covered 100 percent of benefits for union employees and have a "sustainable financial future." In December, TriMet will impose a wage freeze on 2,047 union mechanics, maintenance staff and bus and train operators, McFarlane said. And starting January 1st, they will be required to pay a share of monthly health premiums.
VT Group has acquired Evergreen Unmanned Systems, a division of Evergreen International Aviation of McMinnville. First question: Who or what is this entity, ‘VT’? And secondly, what exactly is the relationship between Evergreen and the CIA’s ‘Black-Ops’ division?
