Many folks may not realize it, but when you drive from Oregon to Washintgon on I-5, you're driving ona bridge that is over 100 years old. The Interstate bridge has shown its age, and not just in its impact on traffic, or its vulnerablity in the face of  "The Big One." So what could a new, better bridge entail?

KBOO's Althea Billings spoke with Greg Johnson, the program administrator of the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program to learn more about the project, how a new bridge could better serve Oregon and Washington communities, and how equity fits in.
