The Uhuru Sasa Cultural Club conducts the Young World Youth Panel for youth at the Oregon State Penitentiary. These adults in custody desire to help youth who may be struggling with the same issues they once faced and to share their experiences of being removed from society and imprisoned. Their hope is to make a powerful impact in the lives of youth participants by addressing issues such as Choices & Consequences, Gang Violence, Victim Impact, Drugs & Alcohol abuse, Generational Trauma, Peer Pressure/Bullying, Goal setting & Motivation. The Uhuru Sasa members are eager to work/collaborate with Teachers, School Administrators, Counselors, Coaches, Behavioral Specialists, and Parents.
