New enchantments in traditional music from Eastern Europe (and Finland!), and the British Isles...
When you revisit your beloved old places you may get caught up in how it *used* to be *better*. But new satisfactions awaits you!
We're checking out what's new in Eastern Europe, and British Isles traditional musics. Also, Finland. Finland!
We'll check out some pre-Christian polyphonic singing from Eastern Georgia, several traditional folk songs from Armenia, some Romani (Gypsy) music from Paris and California, some contemporary Balkan music from Santa Fe, a Welsh gaelic group (from Wales!), some Scots Celtic, and some Irish Celtic from France, Ireland/US, and Portland, OR! And at least one Finnish traditional tune.
