Interviews with chef William (Dub) Travis and author Laura Shapiro

On this episode, I'll be talking with chef Dub Travis, owner of Dub's St. Johns. This coming week is Support Black-Owned Restaurants Week 2017. Dub will talk about his experience running a restaurant and  ways we can support other black owned restaurants around Portland.

I also have an interview with author Laura Shapiro, who recently wrote "What She Ate: Six Remarkable Women and the Food that Tells Their Stories." We'll dig into the private lives of these women in history told through the lens of food as well as what we can learn from them.

And, as always, I'll be chatting with Marisha Auerbach about the garden. We'll be talking about what you can do to cram in a bit more summer in the garden before it becomes fall.
