Guest DJ Hisham Mayet, hosted by Dr. Zomb

This week's host Dr. Zomb is pleased to welcome back Hisham Mayet to the show.  Hisham is one of the folks behind the great record label Sublime Frequencies and is responsible for tracking down and recording some very cool music in various regions in Africa and getting it out to the listening public on both cd and gorgeous lp releases.  He'll be bringing in material that he has been listening to and researching lately and sharing it with us all so don't touch that dial!

Is there anyway to have a detailed playlist of today's program? I've been listening since 2pm today and I MUST know these artists. Flipping on KBOO at home for some late lunch in the sun is a habit of mine but today just blew me out of the water. I had to get up and dance in the sun for a few moments of the first three-four tracks of the two hour segment!

For a long time I looked forward to Thursday and Africa O-yey.  However lately I've been more disappointed than not.  I am getting tired of selections from Ethiopia, old 50's selections, and hand clapping or drumming on logs from the Ituri rain forest.  How about some contemporary sounds?  And how about more music from Nigeria, Senegal, and West Africa in general?/ I know it's impossible to please every musical palette, but a few more modern selections would be nice.

Wher can I find the names of all these tracks so I dont miss them. They are wonderful.
