Malian bluesman
Boubacar Traoré has been making music for over 50 years and was the first guitarist to blend Mandingo musical traditions with African-American blues. After enjoying success in the 1960s, Traoré's popularity waned and for two decades, he disappeared from public view before being 'rediscoved' in the late 1980s. Since then, he has toured the world, and recorded numerous fine albums. Africa O-Yé will explore Boubacar's musical legacy, from 1963's "Mali Twist" to his latest release, "Dounia Tabolo"
